Case 580 Backhoe Thumb Attachment October 06 2016, 3 Comments
Easily take control of any material from demo debris to brush or lumber ?If your looking to get added performance when operating your Case 580 Backhoe a thumb attachment will give you exactly what you need. And it'll increase the value of your machine when you go to sell it later on down the road. MiniExcavatorThumbs.com recommends a 36" thumb based on your machines operating weight.
Case 580 Thumb Attachments :
- 36" Weld-On Mechanical Thumb - $670.00 (manual adjusts to 3 positions)
- 36" Weld-On Fully Hydraulic - $825.00 (fully retracts against stick using only hydraulics)
In order to get the most accurate size we suggest you measure your machine as the needed size may vary due to other attachments such as a quick connect. This only takes five minutes.
Thumb Measuring Instructions:
1. Place the stick of the machine straight and the bucket angle to form a 90 degree angle with the stick.
2. Measure from the Stick of the machine to the teeth or edge of the bucket.

Hi Neil,
The Mechanical Thumb tends to be the best option for the extendable arm on a Case 580.
Best,
